Our Leadership Development program is designed to ignite the potential of mid-level and aspiring female leaders in the Greater DC Area to meet organizational challenges by influencing and motivating colleagues, thus creating stronger teams. By participating in this program, candidates will learn from DC female executives and industry leaders alongside inspiring,
high-achieving women across multiple industries.
Executive Presence - Lead with confidence through self-awareness, engagement, and charisma while adapting your leadership style to meet various challenges.
Organizational Leadership - Manage organizational conflicts by understanding colleagues' extrinsic and intrinsic behaviors and learn to lead from the top, middle, or bottom of an organization.
Mastering Negotiations - Learn to effectively gain consensus and buy-in among your colleagues and peers to drive measurable results.
Public Speaking & Presenting - Utilize clarity and conciseness to enhance your credibility from the elevator pitch to the presentation floor.

The Cooperative Approach

Capital City Cooperative's mission is to Connect and Empower DC Women; through our program you will walk away as an equipped, confident leader. The curated training modules are taught by female executive leaders in the DC area. Your peers hail from various industries which brings diversity to the classroom and allows for various organizational insights and learnings.
At the end of the program, your colleagues, managers, and direct reports will notice your refined leadership savvy, executive presence, and emotional intelligence.

The program is delivered over a four-session period to a select group of up to 20 women, covering four key leadership topics. The trainings take place one Friday a month from 8:30AM-1PM, including breakfast, lunch, and dedicated networking time. Our meeting facility is in downtown DC and is easily accessible via the Farragut West or Farragut North metro stations.
